Michael received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Kansas State University in 1981. While at Kansas State he received honors and scholarships relating to the energy conservation field. Early experience included employment at an architectural firm and then a general contractor in Aspen, Colorado after graduation.

After returning to Topeka he worked for several local architectural firms. In 1987 he became the commercial plan reviewer for the City of Topeka Building Inspection Office. He served in that capacity until establishing his current architectural practice at Architect One, P.A. following his licensure in 1988.

Scott received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University in 1993. While at KSU, Scott was awarded for design excellence in the annual Bayer Stone Competition; and was awarded first prize in the prestigious 1993 William Van Allen International Design competition. Experience includes employment with Architect One, P.A. and internships with architectural firms in Concordia, Kansas and West Lake Village, California prior to graduation.

Upon graduation from Kansas State University, he began working for Architect One, PA and following his licensure in 1996, became a partner at the end of 1998.
